1 city… 3 food reviewers… 1000's of restaurants

13. Culture

ML: Culture is our latest hop along the restaurants of The Cut. We set off with two guest nomers and met the youngest of the Londonnoms trio outside the small Chinese Restaurant, which lies roughly halfway along The Cut.

Expectations were high...

DO: This was a destination that I had been eagerly anticipating. For, you see, Culture is my most frequented destination on The Cut, and I just love an excuse to visit.

12. DeliCate

ML: Next stop was DeliCate. This is somewhere I had never been to before and rather disappointingly will not be going to again. DeliCate always looks nice, the gaily painted benches outside and clogs used as table numbers give the impression of a charming, welcoming establishment and so looking forward to my lunch I eagerly stepped inside.

DO: It’s the sort of place you walk past every day, but only notice when someone points it out.

11. Capital Kebab

DO: This week saw us slumming it at Capital Kebab. I say this, not because it was full of vagrants and filth, but because visiting a kebab house for lunch somehow felt like I had dropped down a rung or three on the social ladder…

A restaurant AND a takeaway? We've struck gold!

GC: It seemed like a major step backwards going for a kebab following paella and carbonara the previous weeks. Capital Kebab comes highly recommended by the kind of people in the office who enjoy such foods (myself being included in this select grouping). I’d been here previously and I’m also a kebab fan and so I was very excited by this week’s gastronomic adventure.

GC: Following on from Spanish at Meson Don Felipe, our trip down The Cut took another continental twist as we went to Olivelli for some Italian. This was another first for many of the Nomers and we were all excited to try out a new place. However, over recent months the Nomers had begun to get a bit tired of each other, and the group needed a change from the usual routine of teddy jokes and non suitable lunch time conversation… So, introducing this week’s guest reviewer – CR!

CR: Having no greater lunch time plan than a trusty Sainsbury’s sandwich meal deal, I was pleasantly surprised when, upon assaulting one member of the Noms team on the Cut I was invited to dine with the trio for lunch!

9. Meson Don Felipe

ML: Following the festive break and various jollies abroad (yes! Outside of London) the Nomers were reunited for their first outing of 2012. If as predicted the world does end in 2012, at least we will have eaten at and reviewed Meson Don Felipe. The intrepid Nomers headed out to this Spanish restaurant to take advantage of the lunchtime paella on offer.

DO: It had been some time since our last review of The Young Vic, so I was pretty excited to be out doing our thing once again. Meson Don Felipe is a pretty unassuming restaurant on the corner of The Cut and Short Street (which at approximately 100m in length is not actually all that short), but I had always fancied visiting…

There's stuff inside too!
